Travel chaos erupted on the evening of August 18 as travellers on their way to Gatwick Airport were told to delay their train journey.
Gatwick Airport station was evacuated shortly before 7pm following the triggering of a fire alarm.
A statement shared by National Rail and Southern read: “A fire alarm sounding at Gatwick Airport station means trains are unable to stop at this station. As a result, trains will be revised.”
Disruption is expected to last until at least 8pm.
